* These serial numbers were not used: 445935-448000, also the following: IC – 445908, 445909, 445910, 445911, 445912, 445913, 445918, 445919, 445920. These tractors were converted to 448001-up style tractors and retagged.

** 440ICs beginning with 448001 were boosted in horsepower and were different in ways from the earlier tractors. A higher compression cylinder head and higher RPM (1850 raised to 2000) accounted for the HP increase. There were also ten 440ICs with code F (all fuel engine). No 440Is had an all fuel engine.
