This is the rubber boot John Deere uses on the 350 model according to part number T39822, that seals around the brake rod (AT21201) and the Brake boot nipple (M1447T) to keep dirt and rocks from getting into the steering brake housing. The parts manual and service manual show the original bellows style boot, which is available as the aftermarket listing M1448T.
