AM450T Special Timing Tool

This tool is to be used for timing the oil pump to the proper rotational position, so that the distributor can then be set in its proper position. While it is possible to time the oil pump by “eye-balling” it, this tool saves a lot of time and frustration, enabling the oil pump to be properly positioned and installed, and the oil pan to be installed without having to go through the “trial and error” process several times. This can be especially time consuming and difficult if the engine is still mounted in the tractor.

This tool is used on gas and all-fuel engines in the M, 40, 420, 430, 440, 1010, and 2010, many applications that use the John Deere 115 and 145 engines, and other John Deere engines as well.

This tool is precision engineered, machined, assembled, and finished. Its accuracy meets the standard of the OEM tool which is no longer available.
